I really enjoyed Moon of the Hawk! The story has a thread of "authenticity" woven through it. This applies to the characters, the background, the west as it really is... The characters ring true, and I felt I should brush the dust off of me from time to time. I got the feeling the author held nothing back in the end, and it makes for a very good read!Product details

Moon of the Hawk edition by Robin Watt Kaci Collins Janet Caruthers Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Moon of the Hawk is a book that "grabs" the reader and doesn't let go. The fact that this murder mystery is based on true experiences makes it even more engaging. Author Robin Watt knows how to create a plot that is well-crafted as well as entertaining. I gave this book a 5-star rating.
This book combines two of my favorite subject, horses and "who done it". The author grabs you in the first few pages and sucks you into this story. You don't want to put the book down, you want to find out what happens. And then are kind of disappointed that you are done with it, wanting more. Certainly hope to read more about these characters from this author. Highly recommend this book.
I recently finished Moon of the Hawk and really enjoyed the book. The fact that it was in part, based on a real story even made it more interesting. When the main character ends up on trial, the story reaches the point where its hard to put it down. I'd say the author hit a home run on this book! I highly recommend the book.

My test for a book is 25 pages - grab me by then or else. Moon of the Hawk captured me in the prologue "Some men just need killing. And he was one. So...I killed him. I think." In this first novel, Robin Watt takes you on a quickly read journey to a plausible, personal and satisfying conclusion. Some books just need to be read. This is one.
